How to Build Customer Confidence With Clean Air

The last year has transformed how we dine. Whether it's in an Arizona school cafeteria or in one of your favorite LoDo restaurants, success in 2020, and now in 2021, is largely driven by customer confidence.

So the next question becomes, how can this be built? How can restaurants, hotels, schools, corporate cafeterias, and other types of foodservice operations build trust with diners? How can operators assure the guest experience is as safe as possible in the age of COVID-19?

The answer is a pretty simple one. If we scrub the air of any potential viruses, we can create dining spaces where customers feel safe to eat.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the coronavirus spreads through tiny, aerosolized particles. There are three ways to potentially rid air of viral potential, each with varying degrees of effectiveness.

First, air can be contained and filtered with HEPA filters or expensive HVAC systems. These can be costly and even lead to potential biohazards due to handling requirements.

The second way to clean air is by inserting ionizers, chemicals, ozone, or other gases into the air that essentially attach themselves to the virus and can fall onto surfaces and the ground. This typically requires a regular cleaning regimen, and even still, contaminants can still be active.

Introducing the Bluezone Viral Kill Unit from Middleby

The third option is Bluezone, a viral kill technology that uses patented, ultraviolet technology to kill 99.9995% of all viruses in testing.

Air Purification Can Unlock Higher Restaurant Capacity Rates

Bluezone works by pulling air into a chamber where 254 nanometer wavelengths of ultraviolet light impact the virus at the genetic, RNA level. This disables the virus's ability to reproduce, using a small unit that's simple to install.

When compared to other, less effective methods or expensive HVAC alterations, Bluezone by Middleby is the clear winner in air purification that will help build customer confidence. This can be used in restaurants, hotels, schools, office buildings, and more.

Middleby's Bluezone Viral Kill Units are currently in the pre-order phase. To reserve yours, please fill out the form below, and one of our representatives will get back to you and confirm.
