Team Spotlight: Samantha Eagle

We're excited to introduce Samantha, one of the newest members of the Elevation team. With a rich background in hospitality and a passion for trying new things, she brings fresh energy to our company. Learn more about her journey, her love for the foodservice industry, and what excites her about working at Elevation.

Hi Samantha, to start, tell us what excites you most about your job?

I’ve been in the food and beverage industry forever, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to try a new role. I am excited to learn everything I can, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow as an individual and a hospitality professional.

Why do you feel the foodservice industry is so important?

Food is at the heart of community. Some of the fondest memories are created when gathered around the table. I love being a small part of some of these experiences. The ability to help restauranteurs and chefs create something special that is more than just meals.

What current trends in foodservice stand out to you?

I am currently loving the look of organic dinnerware. I think the new shapes and looks are inspiring to both the diners and the chefs. I love the move towards mixing colors and patterns on a table instead of everything matching.

What are some of your passions outside of work?

I love living in the mountains. In the summer my husband and I like to be on the rivers. In the winter, we love to snowboard. I also love to read, sing, and bake. My husband calls me the midnight baker because I have the propensity to bake in the wee hours of the morning.

What is at the top of your bucket list?

Although the list is ever-growing and never-ending, I would most like to visit Japan for the amazing food and culture and Scotland to tour all the distilleries. I would also love to summit some more mountains.

Where did you grow up? Any interesting places you've lived throughout your life?

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and had a wonderful childhood. I still miss the natural lakes and the fireflies. The most interesting place I’ve lived was on the Blackfoot Indian reservation just outside of Glacier National Park in Montana. I’ve never lived somewhere as awe-inspiringly beautiful.

What is your go-to meal? Beverage? Restaurant?

I’m passionate about all food, but sushi is at the top of the list. I will never say no to a glass of champagne or sake! One of my current favorites in Salt Lake City is Takashi. They have the best nigiri and the best prices.

Thanks so much, Samantha, and welcome to the team!
