This month's Team Spotlight highlights one of our Customer Service team members, Monica Leonard. Let's get to know her a little better!
I had met the team at Elevation through my previous job as Apprenticeship Director for the ACFColorado Chefs Association. They hosted our class in their test kitchen when we could during the pandemic. I was eventually furloughed, and Elevation offered me a job. Many bad things happened during the pandemic, but I am thankful things turned out the way they did, and I landed this awesome job with an exceptional team at Elevation.
What excites me most is working with an incredible team and learning more and more about an ever-changing industry. I have worked with chefs in the past, but never knew this side of things. It's amazing what it all takes to run a restaurant.
What I enjoy most about working at Elevation is its team. It is a family, and everyone has each other's backs when the going gets tough. I couldn't imagine being in the trenches with anyone else in this ever-evolving, crazy industry.
The food industry is important because food brings people together. It's community. I have spoken with many chefs asking why they do what they do, and the passion is always the same. it is creating something unique that can change someone's day just by the food they are served.
I love to spend time with my family hiking and camping in the summer and skiing in the winter.
My favorite vacation spot is anywhere on the beach. Doesn't matter the location, just as long as my toes are in the sand and I have a cool beverage in my hand.
I'd pay someone to clean my house. I have yet to hire someone because I've heard from other people they clean before they have their cleaning person come. By the time I actually clean, I can't justify paying someone to do what I just did. It's been a vicious cycle my entire adult life. Maybe one day . . .
Now that you've met Monica, we invite you to tell us more about yourself. Specifically, what type of content would you like to receive from Elevation? Let us know by clicking below!
